Things done since last time.

Reduced size of Gif to save space on this fatastic news group.

Added emission to the media but reduced it over time...

emission rgb (White*.5)/localClock

... and reduced the scattering at the same rate.

scattering {1, 3/localClock}

Next I plan on trying Slimes stretching idea, although that is there to some
extent because I've only used positive Y turbulence.

Cool,
maybe increasing the media samples of the object density as it breaks down
will smooth the shadows out.
or the variance,settings.
(in response to your words with slime...)
3.5.2.2  Sampling Parameters & Methods
.. The default number of intervals is 10. For object media the 'intervals'
are spread between the entry and exit points as the ray passes through the
container object.
