SWEET! That's absolutely cool. And I agree; the retro techno grid
look, as you call it, is really appealing. (Tron rocks!)

Too bad we can't see more of the ball spinning into oblivion in the 'hat.

Great animation.

Thanks! I've looked and the ball just get's stuck in the WitchHat hole
against the sides when it gets too narrow. Since the default WitchHat gets
so steep so quickly, I've tried streching out the WitchHat along X and Z,
and the ball just goes round and round slowly closing in on the center,
it's interesting, but too long.

Wow, I just love the textures - Its exactly the kind of image that got me
into 3D rendering

Actually this also looks a lot like the environment where Homer Simpson
got sucked into the 3D world.
Is there a message in this somewhere?
;)

OMG, that's true! I thought it looked really familiar, I actually didn't
think of that.
If there is a message it's probably: "DOH!"

It'd be great to see this with two dents, with the chaotic motion of the
ball around them

Hey hey hey... I like it! :-) I've been wanting to do a surface like that
myself, but I'm too thick... Ah well! It is rather neat how the ball rolls
round it like that...

Thanks.
Andrew.

Wow - I was thinking of that exact episode! lol

But in that, the whole was a bit steaper... the edges were more virtical and
less curved... But anyway...

"Mmm... Doughnut..."
