I was bored and made this relatively simple animation. But it's not that
interesting. I don't have any specific plans for it, so do you have any
ideas in which direction I could take it (no pun intended) to make it a
cool animation?
No suggestions requiring detailed modelling, please... ;)

I'd like to see a tunnel that was not undergound.
You could improve the smoothness of the camera tracking.

I'd be interested in knowing your technique for creating the tunnel.
Isosurface, triangles?
What about dimming the light, and let some coloured glows fly around...?

Triangles, as ABX correctly noticed... The tunnel follows a spline and
is diplaced by a granite pattern.

I actually tried that exact idea at first, but I didn't manage to make
it look very good for some reason. Technically it worked fine, but it
just didn't have any wow-effect.

Well, the tunnel is not modelled, it's generated. Making more faces is a
matter of changing a parameter. I could do that...

Well, that would be a completely different animation...
But out of curiosity, what are you thinking of specifically?

I'll try.

Triangles, I see! Btw, how did you make the tunnel loop perfectly? A granite
pattern never repeats.

Oh, well... What about attaching the glows to the rocks? That might look
less confusing.. I don't know about the wow's though.
