It is normally best to post either MPEG 1, MPEG2,
AVI or, if it really must be, DIVX. In all other
cases, someone will complain about "I couldn't
see it". Either that, or you'll get almost no feedback.
You can't expect people to bother downloading
software when it is you who wants comments.
(That's not a pun, its a fact).

Aside of that...

It does look pretty, though I'd do something about
the particles you're using. They look more like a
cartoon than like RL.
The first "stream" of smoke looks rather artificial,
I wouldn't expect it to just go up into the air.
And you should definitely use smaller and more
particles.

Regards,
Tim

As Tim says, there's a certain cartoon-look over it, but I gotta say I like
it. Nice to see someone put the particle systems to good use! And the whole
thing is not that far off. Now comes the explosion that everybody expects,
or not, if we're optimists.

Hugo

Cool stuff. Perhaps animated media filled sphere particals would get rid
of the 2D "cut-out" effect of the smoke?

Whoa, cool! :)

Thanks for using my particle system.

I see that you have a website. If you put that animation up on your
site, could you let me know? I'd like to link to it from this page:

Thanks for providing it !

Yes you can, but let me the time to write an english version of my website
and to put an improved version of the animation.

In fact, this is an test animation. I used "expl.inc" which looks like
cartoon because it render faster than media. Same probleme if I used smaller
and more particles : the rendering time !
The 375 frames (25 fps) of this animation took 10 hours to render and I'd
like to make a longer one.

I used MPG4 v3 because I've got some ugly artifact with Divx and I was
afraid of the size of the file if I used mpeg.

Thanks for your comments despite of my mistakes.

Okay, could you please email me when it's ready?

I think you could probably tweak the expl-settings to get a less
cartoon-like effect, but if you want very realistic results you probably
need media.
