This is a short segment from the animation I'm working on. I'm posting it
for no more reason than that I got ADSL yesterday, so now I can upload files
of this size no problem! :) Oh, plus I think it looks pretty cool in a kind
of anime influenced way.

Render time for the whole sequence was just under 2 hours on my Athlon 2200.

Comments and suggestions are welcome, there's still time to change things
before the deadline! :)

Very Nice, The style is what grabs me. I look forward to the completed
piece.

This inspired me to go ahead and try one, not only because yours is so good
but also at least from this segment isn't a full-length epic.

By pure coincidence I happened to have the Gattaca Opening Theme by Michael
Nyman playing when I watched this, and it makes really good background music
for it! Heh.

Alastair.

:) cool.

I don't really thnk it's practical to attempt a lengthy animation in just 3
months and with a file size of 10 meg, so I tried to come up with an idea
that didn't take too long to put across. It still remains to be seen if I've
succeeded, but at least it's gonna look pretty! :)

I have to confess the style was a bit of a fluke, the other segments of the
animation look more conventional than this. I'm going to try to do more
things in this style 'cause it looks very cool.

Very nice.

Now maybe you can explain how you got such _smooth_ animation in about
half a meg. I created 500 frames of a spaceship flyby, and got a 3 M
movie, and it speeds by so fast you can't see the details.

That's always been a problem with my movies.

Good luck in the contest.

i'm just guessing, but did you adjust the frame rate settings in your video
encoding software (not in POV itself)?

hth,
