Hi!
I am creating animations with the ppmtompeg utility (ImageMagick?) in Linux.
The problem is that every MPEG player in WinXP crashes on me whenever I try
to play them! This didn't happen with Win2k. I am suspecting the codec to be
buggy.
Can you folks please see whether you can play this animation in WinXP? Maybe
someone has the solution to the problem?
By the way; the animation is of a strange attractor (the Pickover attractor
from Fractint.) Bad quality with few frames, but it's just a test.
regards,
Simen.

Crashes on my win2k.. But I've installed a bunch of codecs, so it's all
pretty messed up.
(Note to self: reinstall)

Crashed WMP 8.00.00.4487 under Windows XP Home SP1 over here. No
errors. Media Player just disappeared.

That's what happens to me too! Also, when I use some other player, it
crashes. That means that the codec is responsible, I think.
I upgraded to WMP9, but this didn't fix anything at all.
What codecs du you have and what version? Would be useful to know so that I
can isolate the problem...

Simen Kvaal.
