Hi all,
Here is quick animation done with the truck and trailer system as discussed
in the advanced group. It turned out that the particular model I used is a
bit on the long side, pedestrians aren't really safe in this town ;)
The truck is self is following a spline. And there might be a few small
errors in there.
It took about 2 hours for the 200 frames (25 fps). And the mpg didn't do it
any good either.
Thanks Jo Diehl.

At least you show the concept works. I'd say the roadways are too small
or the truck too big. There's usually enough room on city streets for
the trucks to pull out very wide around corners to get the back of the
trailers to stay off the sidewalks (not always though).
I don't know enough about this kind of driving but they probably do a
little tail-twisting, sending the hitch farthest from a corner as it can
go before actually rounding it.
Good job on that, BTW.
Very nice simulation!
Though I wouldn't want to be anywhere near those streets with that truck
around...

Nice to see it work. Fine job! And now - an action film where a truck drives
through the ice cafe at the street corner and minifigs in panic? ;-) But I
remember it always was a problem to drive around the small Lego streets
with big trucks in RLL (RealLegoLife).
keep on rollin'
