When Rune put his particle system up for beta testing, I took the opportunity to
test it out and see what I could come up with. I've done a few anims with it now
and I can say that I'm impressed with it! Rune has done a great job and this
animation I've posted does no justice to what his system can achieve. I just wish
I had a few more spare moments to explore further...
This anim contains about 5000 particles by the end. The system handled this count
quite admirably!

That's very nice! :)
It just seems to be in fast forward speed...
At some point I'll try to make a similar animation, but one which also
has a funnel in it, so the particles can swirl down in a spiral... :D

Huh? I think my system is quite slow... And 5000 particles is a lot!
Anyway, thanks for creating this animation. :)

Wanted them to get to the ground plane with a reasonable file size...

Should look good!

I think the parse time blew out to about 2.5 mins (500MHz pentium) for the last
couple of frames. That's pretty good performance for 5000 particles!

Not a problem!
