Almost. Not quick enough at the beginning and there is a little problem
at the roof, but other-wise a thouasnd times better than I could do.
Have you thought about a rapidly expanding sphere with a slight
refraction to make a shock wave? That is really the one part that is missing
to me...

hmmm, dunno... The explosion looks good, but not perfect with this background.
I think it's oversaturated. And there should be a big flash at the beginning of
the explosion.
Don't know for sure.

Wow! This looks almost exactly like a vid taken from a helicopter! Though,
as others have commented, it could use a flash before the fireball and a
shockwave.

Not exactly a flattering title to be given... :(

Thanks, that's the effect I was going for. A little vturbulence added to the
look_at point and an angle controlled with a linear_spline does the trick.
And then intentionally encoded in a low quality...
The building is a photo mapped onto a plane and some boxes using my
illusion.inc file.

Any reference material by any chance? I really have no idea what a shockwave
looks like in reality...

I'll try to make it less saturated.

I'll try that too. But as always reference material is a problem...

Thanks! The explosion not being quick enough in the beginning could maybe be
helped with a short flash, as others have suggested.

I can't remember ever having seen what shock waves actually look like. Any
reference material?

Not on hand. All I know is what I see on TV. I suspect any visual effect
is really caused by two things, refraction of the compressed volume of air,
and physical shaking of objects in the way.
