What about a pyrotechnical display based on your work, Rune?

Wonderful samples. I suspect a full fireworks package will be completed
by new years!

This glowing stuff is so cool - too bad it won't make it into v3.5. :(

(Call me a nerd, but I just use the official releases...)

You nerd you. There, happy now?
I wasn't one to use those "other" custom POV-Ray's much myself but it has
taken over now and I seldom run the official version anymore. It all
started back when 3.01 went to 3.02 in such a relatively short time span,
then moreso when 3.1 went through it's phases. Now it's become commonplace
to have two or more installed.
The wait for 4.0 could become like a myth in reverse, that is to say before
it exists it'll be considered well known yet with no proof of existence. No
problem for those people happy to commute from official to unofficial
versions and also those who only see each new version being distributed, but
I have to pity those in limbo.

Bob

This is a fascinating thing to see in action. It is very firework-like, I
agree. There seems to be many possibilities for how to put it to use.

But what do y'all have to look forward to? Imagine how exciting a new
official release is for me! The anticipation over 3.5 is building for me,
probably much more so than for you MegaPOVers... I may still break down one
day and try MegaPOV again (or MP+, or Super MP++, or whatever else is out
there), but the unofficial version that I did try didn't seem to be real
stable or bug-free. Although I must admit that some of those features are
quite tempting...

Regards,
Dave

How does it feel when your special effects surpass the original Starwars
movies?
