A mini-movie spline path version this time. MegaPov 'spline { }' was used.

It suffers from compression and small resolution, so try not to hurt your
eyes squinting at it.

I'm still just getting this part ready for now, planning to add a beginning
and end sequence showing the flying vehicle which has yet to be made.
The jittering effects (+j0 set) still plague this animation even though I
have fairly flat texturing and a isosurface accuracy set to 0.00001 with
eval being used. No doubt it's the small perturbations in the fractal.

The ASCII White machine was assembled in the building where I work. If you did
this animation with heightfields, I assume you'd need 2 or 3 of them, right?

You meant to say ASCI I'm guessing:

In all fairness I'd have to say it would probably only take 1/1000000000 of
that machine complex to do the same animation using a HF. That's one
powerful machine there. Wouldn't you just know it, they're putting it at a
nuclear lab for the purposes of weapon simulations (I think) instead of
running POV-Ray on it.

I like the new fly path, but I miss the change in snow/vegetation.

Is there a chance for a larger version?

A chance, yes. It will be a long while to render and the file size somewhat
large. Expect a 10MB mpeg in a day or two I'm guessing.
The one lake that noticeably changes depth for some unknown reason kind of
prevents me from trying that seasonal change thing.

Ooookay, it was a figurative overstatement, and I guess you can tell how much I
had to do with that tool directly. I *was* wondering what pov on that tool could
do.....

What a waste. They could do their simulations on my PII.

    DropBomb(&Bagdad);

I'm looking forward to the larger version, but it looks great, only one small
thing, at the start as the camera flies over the first set of peaks, it seems
to jump sideways a little in order to avoid colliding with the mountain, either
that or the commencement of the turn is not as smooth as was intended.
I only wish I could do a quarter as good with my works. <sigh>
