this is just to show the animatability (is that a word?) of my model.
it's at v 1.0 right now and is being put on the back shelf. it's my
first animation and i'm afraid it shows. i'm posting the model to the
moray website since it wouldn't fit (1.4MB zipped) on this server. a
pov only version will be out in a few days. i've fixed obvious mistakes
already (ie torpedo tube size and placement and general thickness of all
front landing gear parts.) so no need to tell me about them.

Adding some acceleration and decelartion to it would help a lot.

i know. the animation plugin for moray isn't as friendly for things
like that as it is planned to be. plus, like i said, this is my first
try. i learned a lot.

Good to see it in action. I noticed the tail end of it turns white though
when it leaves, something to do with specular highlighting no doubt.

no specular highlighting. no highlighting actually since the ships are
pretty worn. i think i may have flow through a light, or at least
nearly so. that would make a sudden bright spot as it passed. oops.

Oh, I see. Well it seemed odd going from such a darkened gray to pure white
like that. At first I thought it was part of a hyperspace jump you were
starting to do now :-)
