It's looking better to me. The particles move out more realistically,
now maybe if a few of them blew up of their own accord in smaller
explosions, bits for gas and fire....

If this is still a Blender output then why is it being continually shown here at
the povray news groups? I don't know about the program, does it output POV-Ray
compatible files (in any way shape or form)?
The animation is good, nice effect. I just don't see any point in posting
images, animations or even linking to them here at news.povray. Not that I'm
scolding or anything, just common sense I think since there is other newsgroups
people read like c.g.r.r. for one.

Gee, I re-read this and I sound awfully POV-Ray-centric don't I? :-)
No ill will intended.

I'm sure Lance can do it :)
And I challenge you to make a scene with volumetrics, radiosity,
blurred reflection, refraction, dispersion and caustics in less than a
year (before someone implements raytracing in Blender) :)))
If a piece of software is on the market (generally speaking, even if
the s/w is free) then there must be at least one thing it's better at
than others in the same price range. Blender's obviously good at
volumetrics and particles, ok, and I've seen very motion-wise
realistic anims made with it. Still, I think one should confine such
to the off-topic. I, for example, have set up my newsreader so that it
saves all attachments from p.b.i. in a separate directory so that I
can browse them from time to time. I'd hate to see such a cool
explosion as yours, search for the post and find out it has not been
made with POV.

Hey, that's good to know. Thanks for telling me.

Umm, how about 72 days instead? LOL Oh, render time, not creation time... well
then there's still hope.
I apologize about the somewhat disgruntled reply before, just thought there
wasn't any connection to POV-Ray at all. I should have checked into it further.
I've been raytracing too long, but still not long enough with POV-Ray ;-)
