However, you can terminate POV-Ray (it may take a few seconds) while output
of these messages is in progress. Your image has already be written to disk
at the time these messages are generated, so no data will be lost.

All three logged as parts of job000189.
(also probably not the same problems)

Fixed in next beta.

An even simpler scene for this would really help.

Fixed in next beta. (At least all known leaks there have now been fixed...)

Does this have something to do with surface normals? The current behavior
might actually be correct...

This might just be a user error. Need details what users do and what they
expect.

Will be changed in a future beta of 3.5 if #version 3.5 is used.

I am not able to find this on the server.

Has not been confirmed. Might just be a user misunderstanding.

Already fixed in beta 9.

This was fixed in beta 9 but due to a usability problem did not make it into
source code used to build beta 9 versions other than the Mac beta 9. It can
be removed once beta 10 is out.

Same as function problems in beta 8. Alreday fixed in beta 9.

I cannot reproduce this. Need to verify this bug still exists in beta 9.

It does not work as *macro* parameter. this is a very important difference.

Will #version 3.5 have to be explicitely specified in the scene file, or
isn't it just the default?

This bug still exists in beta 9.

As usual, the current version is the default version and it won't need to be
specified explicitly to activate version specific "changes".

Don't thank me. It is not going to be changed based on my initiative.
It is a POV-Team decision to which I stand.

My expectation:
When I run the the animation \scenes\animations\boing\bounce.ini and
manually stop the rendering somewhere, I expect the file bounce.txt to
be deleted. This does not happen. When starting the renedering again it
starts where it was left and not at the beginning (clock=0).
I modified the ini-file in several ways, for example use cmd instead of
command or leave it out completely, or even start a totaly unrelated
application with "User_Abort_Command", but nothing happens.

PII 233 192 MB, NT4 SP6
AthlonXP 1800 1.5 GB, Win2000 SP2
several betas of POV-Ray 3.5
POV-Ray 3.1g

OK. It requires a few platform specific adjustments to work with the GUI
based platforms. This will happen in one of the next betas. Right now it
works neither on the Mac nor Win versions, but does work on the command line
based platforms.

I accepted the re-report of the problem in a different thread as
confirming it.
