Hi,
It is possible to use the "exposure" command from Megapov (tone_mapping.inc)
in PovRay Beta 20b?

I tried including the file "tone_mapping.inc" but I received the error:
Parse Error: No matching } in 'global_settings', undeclared identifier
'exposure' found instead

Solutions??

Regards,

Joel.

Why would that work? POV-Ray 3.7 does not include any of the current MegaPOV
patches...

I think that "exposure" is one of the most useful features of MegaPOV. Using
"exposure" control I can render more photorealistic images.

I use MegaPOV instead of original PovRay because the patches that includes
MegaPOV are very useful, but MegaPOV doesn't have multi-threading as PovRay
3.7 has. The perfect renderer would be MegaPOV with multi-threading.

Joel.

3.7 doesn't change much except for adding multithreaded processing.

New features will have to wait for the next version of POV-Ray.

And support for HDRI. And a new bounding engine. And RTR. And...

OK, you got me :) In my defense, I *did* remember the new bounding, but
categorized it in the "not much" part, as many users will never bother
with setting it or not (but just use the default, whatever it ends up
being). And I was under the impression that RTR was just a showcase,
and not meant for serious use yet (even when 3.7 is finished)?
