Running on windows XP with some architectural scenes that involve over 400K
tokens. Average rendering time for most scenes is time prohibitive. I
have access to other XP systems on the LAN but have no knowledge on how to
distibute a single rendering task across them. Has anyone been able to do
grid computing using POV on XP who can help?
thanks in advance.

Render the image in pieces, one piece per computer.
The
 +S
 +E
options will do this. More info on that in the documentation.
You would then stitch the pieces together in photoshop or
something like that to get the final image.
