Can anyone provide me with a link or web adress where I can download
older versions of POV-Ray. On the POV-Ray site itself I can't find anything
older than version 3.0.
What I need is a version that will render Halo's correctly - PLEASE
HELP.

If any member of the POV Team happen to read this : "What on earth have you
done with the halo's and why ?

p.s. !0 out of !0 for a top class program!"

POV-Ray 2.x will not render your halos since they were introduced in 3.0.

The current media in POV-Ray 3.5 is much more versatile and logical
than the halos in 3.0.

Amazingly, versions 1.0 through 2.2 are still there. I know they aren't as
easy to find anymore. I have nearly all the versions archived.

I sure thought the halo was a 3.0 thing, been too long for me to remember.
And if it is that's found at:

ftp://ftp.povray.org/pub/povray/Old-Versions/

Many thanks for the links Bob. I had already tried the "Old-Versions"
page, but was under the impression that I needed something older.
About the halo thing, it may well a 3.0 item. There seem to have been
many different versions over the years and I lost a couple of the older zip
files last summer after a virus incident.
I'm out of the woods now, - thanks again.
        Alex.

Hmm, "!0 out of !0" for a posting after signature separator, asking in
advanced-users for general problem, sending question about feature removed
about five years ago. Don't you think 'halo removal' was already discutted
many times? The simplest search is http://news.povray.org/search/?s=halo .
