you know those thing that open and close kind of like a iris i'm trying to
work on a project and i can't figure out how to create a iris thing like in
a 35mm camera the f-stop thing. i would like to make one that completly
closes then completly opens up depending on what setting but i can't figure
out how. and i'm not sure how to go around doing this.

Look in povray.text.scene-files for a thread titled "openable iris" date
Dec. 3, 1998. There is an iris macro available there.

Hey, thanks Ken, I didn't know about that being there.
I was going to mention the one I tried to make, not sure how the other one
looks yet so I can't tell how they differ. Mine was posted there at
p.t.s-f. as: old Kodak aperture iris diaphragm on 7/17/2000 (updated
7/21/2000).

You could e-mail the author of that file/post.

I think that's it anyway. He had anti-spam addition to it so I removed a
portion.

In your Preferences, do you have something like
"download only the last 500 headers"?
