How are photons stored? (Message 1 to 7 of 7)

How are photons stored when saved to disk?

The reason I ask is because I'd like to somehow read
and convert the photon-data via POV-Ray scripts and
thus create scenes in which a scene is made of pure
photon-placeholders, like spheres or such.

Just something to properly visualize photons in 3D
space.

:-(

Thanks for answering anyway. So, is there anyone with C++ knowledge
who could maybe write such a program for me? It would suffice to
convert the positions to a list of vectors, and if radius of photons
can be saved, saving those in a seperate list with floats.

If anyones up to it, I'd be happy...

You can find some information on the data structures used for storing the
photons in: http://nathan.kopp.com/nk_pov_photons.zip

Hm. I don't get along with that Post-Script Format very well.

Any free tools you could recommend?
