I get this one a lot with radiosity. What exactly does it mean? Besides
an eventual "cannot allocate 136 bytes of memory".

I've never seen that one (the former), even with huge radiosity data trees.
What circumstances seem to cause it?

I have a tree with about 6000 small cones, I have declared a background color
and a ground plane. the light is coming from a plane behind the camera and too
the side. It seems to give me a lot of these errors as it's crossing the
horizon point.
