Between frames POV always blanks (refreshes) the screen.

Is there a setting whereby the new frame would just overwrite the existing.

This way only the incremental changes would update and the viewer would not
spend so much time looking at a black screen.

If this is not available now, could such a patch be put into Mega-POV ?

  I think this question would be more appropriate in povray.windows, since
it's a windows-specific question.
  No, I don't think it is possible. Perhaps a future version.

  Btw, the unix version does not blank the image between frames.
