I'm trying out the demo for Moray 3.2, and I can't seem to get the correct
results on the CSG tutorial (where you build the robot arm). The tutorial
says to put the UpperArm group inside the ArmHolder group, and then assign
the ChromeLook material to just the UpperArm group. However, when I do that,
it assigns the Chrome material to the parent group too (the ArmHolder
group), which is supposed to have the BodyTxtr material on it. I don't think
that's what is supposed to happen. What am I doing wrong (if anything)?
I also noticed that the tutorial says to open the file Tutor04a.mdl to begin
this tutorial. I noticed that some of the steps that you are supposed to do
are already done when you open the file, down to where you start creating
the UpperArm group. I noticed this the last time I tried the demo in an
earlier version of Moray. Should there be another tutorial file?
Thanks,

When you assign the material, make sure that UpperArm is the selected
object (i.e. the Name display on the Modify Tab reads 'UpperArm'. I
suspect that you are simply clicking on UpperArm in the list of
subobjects while ArmHolder is selected. This does not select UpperArm
and therefore if you then assign a texture, it is assigned to
ArmHolder. In this case when you select UpperArm, it will show
[ChromeLook]. Notice the square brackets around the texture name. This
means that the object is inheriting the texture.
