Hi All,
I've recently been playing around with MegaPov Plus, and I've more or
less finished a PlugIn for the Glow object by Chris Huff. I just
wondered if anyone was interested ;-)

of course. i played with Plus for a day (didn't try the new stuff yet)
but it was so buggy, i went back to Mega. he's supposed to release a
bugfix version soon though (not soon enough) at which point i'd love
your plugin. have you thought about making plugins for other mega
features?

Hi Ryan,
That was quick! I didn't expect a reply till morning!!
Hmmm... seems to work OK here (mod 0.3) See pic on my web site.
Well I have thought of creating plugins for other features but
the features change quite often and you wouldn't believe the amount of
mail I get about very old plugins ;-)
Maybe some alpha testers are in order for the glow plugin,
maybe the first ten after this message?
What do you all think?
Lutz are you happy that I should write plugins for features not
supported by the official PovRay?

Now why would Lutz mind you extending the power of Moray without
him having to do the work ?

Well it maybe that he's already doing the work (I think he may have been
told what's in/out of the next version etc), so I don't want to step on
any toes or seem too forward ;-)

well glows aren't in 3.5, so he's not working on it. he's working on
the next version(3.3) of moray but there are still a few bugs in new
features. some cool features though.

That would be safe to assume since Lutz is officially a member of
the POV-Team :~)

Hi Keith Hull, you recently wrote in moray.win:

Yes, please, I'd like a copy.

Absolutely, this is one of the main reason why we implemented a plugin
system. I have no reservations about what a plugin can do.

I'll do it.
Of course I'll need to go and grab a copy of MP+ first... :)
But I was going to get around to that anyway.
Bye for now,
Jamie.
