Hi,
For a current scene I'm working on, I have a light bulb. I'm trying to
create a sphere around this light bulb with a media that graduates an
emission color towards the center of the sphere. I'm trying to make a
"glowing light" effect...and so far I've had little luck. Is there any way
to do this? It seems whenever I think I get the graduation right, Moray's
material preview shows me a graduated diamond inside the sphere...
I've been playing around with media for only a few weeks now...any help
would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
-Chris-

You've got a few weeks more experience than me, then :-) I really have
no ideas on how to setup media correctly.

Im not sure if it will work but try this:
create a sphere around the lightbulb
its should have a 1.0 filter
then add a media with 1.0 IOR and your emission color.
if you dont want the media in the light bulb, then try to subtract another
sphere from the bigger one.
confused? so am i after readin this.
;)

Cool...thanks. I also finally figured out the spherical setting for the
density. I took out the absorption and scattering settings and used
just an emission like you suggested.
Here's what I came up with, which is actually almost what I want.

I wouldn't say no idea how to use it.... I'd say no idea how to apply
it to certain POV-Ray features<g>.
