i have a 3ds object with textures but when i convert it to UDO format
with the 3ds2pov program and then render the object Povray can't find
the files.... can anyone help with it?

You don't happen to have a name conflict?
-> Never give the UDO file the same name as your scene file (excluding the
extension), because then you will have a NAME.UDO, a NAME.INC (those two are
from 3ds2pov) and a NAME.MDL file (from Moray). And when you render from
Moray, it writes a NAME.INC file too, overwriting the version created by
3ds2pov.

No name conflict... when i render the scene it just says error opening TGA or
Can't find TGA or what ever the file type is.....
here is a sample from my LAB_X file.....

Returned from renderer (non-zero return value)

But i checked all the files.. i can open them in Paint Shop pro, Polyview, and
PictureIt(came with my scanner). No errors in those programs... i even tried
converting them from TGA to JPG and then back to TGA   but no luck....  :{

Did you try the View->Dependancies function? Does it find TILE016.TGA?
