im am used to using 3d modelling lab where i could take an object like a
cyllinder and use it to make a hole in a plane is it possible to do that in
moray or not?

They are called CSG boolean operations in Pov and Moray can do these operations.
Look for the functions called intersection and difference and read up on the
proceedures in the povray documentation for specifics.

First, position the base and carver object however you want then. Now, go
onto the create object screen in Moray. Then, add a CSG object. Now,
first, ADD the base object, then the carver object. Now, under CSG type,
select "difference". That's if you want the two solids to "cancel each
other out". If you want then to "fill each other", so to speak, click
"intersection". I find intersection a tad hard to explain. You'll see it,
probably ;)

CSG intersection will show only the area of the objects where there is
overlap of all of the objects specified in the CSG.
