Very often when I render with Moray (well, perhaps it would be better to
say "when I render with povray through moray") it (ie. Moray) redraws all
the wireframes in middle of the render with no apparent reason, thus
spoiling the rendered image.
I have not seen any reason for this. I don't move the mouse, I don't
touch anything, but nevertheless Moray redraws the wireframes. This
doesn't happen every time and the redraw doesn't happen always at the same
moment while rendering (sometimes it redraws at the very beginning
spoiling only a little but sometimes almost at the end, spoiling the entire
image).
Is this a normal behaviour or can I stop it doing this?

I have had this problem my self. now i just switch over to POV and View
the image there instead of moray use (ALT + TAB).

This bugs the hell out of me too! I'm a huge fan of www.sweeet.com and
his tutiorals show him half-way displaying wire, and half the rendered
image, but he doesn't use Moray. I was wanting to figure out how he
does that (all renders are kinda simular).

Hi Nieminen Mika, you recently wrote in moray.win:

Mopray redraws the wireframes if you move the mouse. It's a Windows
thing. But you know that you can press Ctrl-R to redraw a view, right?
Well, you can press Shift-Ctrl-R to redraw the backdrop with no
wireframes.

Hmm, really? I just tested: On my setup (Moray 3.1.4215, NT 4.0 SP 3) Moray
does not redraw the wireframe after or during rendering until I tell it to.
Just doesn't. Not if I move the mouse. Not if I use the mouse to move
Moray's window. Not if I click anywhere in Morays window (including the 3D
viewport). Not if I switch to some other window and back to Moray again. Not
if I shift-drag select an object in any of the views (in this case only the
selected object is redrawn in the yellow selection color).
I have to manually redraw with CTRL+R (or equivalent) or use pan/zoom/rotate
to change the view or do something similar (like maximizing the view).

Also, Nieminen wrote that he didn't move the mouse. So all is very
unpredictable, which seems to confirm your other statement:

The tip of the day! Thanks.

It's like in the real world. You have a window. Now, do you look into the
window?
No, you look out of the window! Now, what do you see? Well, if you could always
tell before, wouldn't that be boring?

steff
