Maybe this process could start with something more
established, such as an RSS feed notifying about new
contests - and showing off the winners, of course ;)

In fact it is inappropriate (much) to say web2.0.
Indeed, this is RSS, MediaRSS for Cooliris.
I agree on the RSS feed.

Ciao Christian

Ok for Firefox, Safari, IE :
http://www.cooliris.com/download-all.php

You *surf* with Opera? ;-)

Obviously it is not anything important and it is only an *option* to display
image galleries. :-)

The one thing I'd strongly object to here is the use of "web 2.0" to mean
splashy bells and whistles and use of Flash. Flickr could possibly be said to
be the first Web 2.0 site, at least in its first implementation. Back when you
could "Blog This!" on a photo without worrying about getting sued, Flickr was
about user-generation and SHARING of content. (Ham-fisted professional
photographers later invaded and sort of ruined the whole 2.0 thing.)

Making raytracing "Web 2.0" would have more to do with sharing of include files
like the povlib.

I deny what I wrote before.
I have already disillusioned with Cooliris. ;-)
I think the important thing is the return of IRTC, in any form.
.... And the silence of David Buck worries me.

Not me.

Sometimes, no news is good news. (Of course, sometimes no news is bad
news, but that's beside the point).

Anyway, I assume that he's a busy guy, and that he's probably held up on
something with work. I'm just excited enough at the prospect of the
IRTC returning that I'm not worrying about when it happens (as long as
its within a year or two, of course!).
