Don't make it entirely transparent...a real fish tank has stuff on the 
glass. Only use the texture for the stuff on the glass surface though, 
use interior attenuation or absorbing media to color it. Make the tank 
out of separate slabs of glass with a water box inside, not one box, and 
give everything realistic ior, reflection, and highlight values.
