The image is ordinarily clipped to the range 0-1 before post_processing, 
the raw_image filter just copies the raw, unmodified colors into the 
image.
It's main use is when you are using filters that need a bigger dynamic 
range, or if you are expanding the dynamic range of the image. If there 
is ever a way to save the current state to files, you could use this to 
start over and generate multiple post_processed versions per render.
