Um, no, that isn't what I am saying. I am only saying that the Mac 
version of Windows Media Player is a piece of junk.
I even downloaded the latest released version (6.3), and it was as bad 
as I remembered...and probably won't be on my system for much longer. 
(BTW, I downloaded it with Internet Explorer...the page didn't load 
properly under iCab)

A surprisingly large number of them anyway...specifically the Mac port 
of Windows Media Player.

I refuse to use Windows Media Player because it is an awful piece of Mac 
software and it would undermine the stability of my system. See the part 
right after me being a Mac user...

No risk of that...I have used, and do use Microsoft products.
