Really very shocking! I must have seen somewhere someplace how it works: 
some kind of overlapping partial images ?

Do you know M.C. Escher's graphical work? Famous 'Waterfall' perpetuum 
mobile type? Now if you could animate THAT, that would really be 
astounding :-)
