Something odd is happening here. I rendered this scene on my plain
Pentium 133 (non MMX, even). My render time was slightly less than 1.5
hours, using Mega-POV 0.4, a 640x480 image size, and antialiasing of
0.3. 

If my Pentium 133 did the image in less than 1.5 hours, I would have
expected your PIII 500 should have done it in less than 15 minutes.
I'm really puzzled. What's happening here?
