This imagage shows the willingness of the artist to explore new ways in
his art. But also shows that in his mind he's completly not ready for it
yet. There are strong signs to prove this, in this image.
A horizontal line, dividing the{unknown) black in two not equally wide
area's and thus forming a horizon. What will be behind it? A new horizon
to explore. But then there is the black to the left an right sides of the
line.
This leads us to the "do not pass" road sign. In the artists subconscious
there is still something that prevents him to cross the line.
To give himself a feeling of safety in this new area, something to relate
to, in his colour scheme he goes back to his succsesfull Black&White
period.
