In p.b.scene-files, the latest beta (1.6) of the granite macro has been 
posted, together with a first documentation draft and corrected granite 
data include files.

Here are four examples demonstrating the latest version. In particular, 
the link to real-world dimensions of the textures is shown (scales 
included):

Granite_21_dim0.jpg: overview with standard ovus and superellipsoid
Granite_21_dim1.jpg: detailed view of the ovus texture
Granite_21_dim2.jpg: detailed view of the superellipsoid texture
Granite_21_dim4.jpg: overview with different object
