What with my kid stranded in space without a clue about where to go next
[1] while I struggle to get qtpovray built on Windows [2], I just may
have to give this a go.

[1] Y'all haven't seen the MECO, stage separation, and caboose landing
and then, um, ...

[2] When one wants to build a library from compiled objects, one must
build the compiled objects first. Do not go directly to the "lib"
command, for surely you will be disappointed.
