A bit late, but I thought I'd get the Euro referendum out of the way
before I gave the results of the PET scan.
So, on the day of the scan I had a mild chest infection - nothing
serious but have you ever tried to lie motionless when you want to
cough? Not easy.
Fast forward a week and into the clinic to meet Dr Wrench and his
minions. First I get a slap on the wrist for not getting the infection
treated immediately but then, in almost the same breath, DW tells me
that the infection is brighter on the scan than the few remaining
lymphoma-affected nodes. Cue smiles and muted celebration all round.
The next step is a change in medication to a drug that's so new that
they are still unsure about the side-effects* 8-| and a meeting with the
stem-cell transplant team.
