Can you see in the dark? My camera can, apparently.

This was taken at night, in the dark, through a pane of glass, from a 
brightly lit living room into a dark alley, with bright light coming 
from the facing window... and the camera has somehow *still* delivered a 
really quite acceptable exposure. I mean, it doesn't look like broad 
daylight, but the signs are all perfectly legible...
