Ah, yes, I remember days like that. We had an incident once at our first
house with K. coming down 3 flights of stairs to our bedroom (it was a 5-
level split-level townhouse; his room at the top, ours second from the
bottom) dodging velociraptors when he was about 10. We'd watched the
second Jurassic Park movie without (a) knowing what was in it, and (b)
realizing that the dinos might give him nightmares.
For us, it's usually cats singing these days. Having moved a bit north,
the nights are much shorter than they used to be, with sunsets
approaching 9 PM and sunrise around 4:30 AM.
