Umm. Actually, no. I have it on my laptop, and maybe "apps" have that
problem, but regular applications do have a "desktop" and the normal
"start menu". I did, however, since it starts up at the damn fancy GUI
thing, take some time to work out how the hell to get my often used
applications there, and pull off some of the total garbage I didn't plan
to ever use. lol
