Or use data tables. Very useful if you've spent ages making a whole 
sheet (or more) to model something (your "function") and then want to 
repeat that calculation over a range of values. You are limited to two 
"parameters" though.

I wouldn't be surprised if that is exactly how data tables work 
internally already.
