HD TV rule of thumb: Diagonal screen size X 3 = best viewing distance.
46" X 3 = 138"
138" / 6' X 1' / 12" = 1.91666666666667 times too close to the screen,
or as ym late mom would say "you're going to burn your eyes out!"
