I thought I started using this 2005 but just remembered
that I also came across it in 1999 in the university computer
pool. I found the scene file and rerendered it now.

The object appears to have a problem with the lower lathe
end points, probably also was the case back then but maybe
I rendered it such a low resolution it wasn't apparent ;)

Object is a convex body of constant width (two parallel
planes touching opposite sides will have same distance from
each other no matter what orientation, basically some sort
of generalization of a sphere).
