it's 3 & 1/2, and before 5 & 1/4.
just remember that the denominator is 1 less than the number of inches.

That's for PC. (and it does not work for 8" floppy... you do not want to
remember them!)

(3" did exist and were common on Amstrad... 3" is the width, as their
length was longer)
