Maybe in some very subtle way, but I'd expect it to be dwarfed by the
impact on color hues. Which in turn is an issue that would require
full-fledged color management to address - which POV-Ray isn't ready for
yet :-)
Getting gamma straight is a start. Getting color management right will
be one step further.
