When I was 12y old (in the 70's), I took one of the last french steam trains 
every second weekend to come back home from school and way back (wasn't 
Hogwarts BTW :-( )
The locomotive was a Pacific 231 (French notation) or 4-6-2.
Few years after they were replaced by diesel/electric locomotives.
