The cell phone woman IS excellent.  Funny Thomas, my reaction was 
different, I thought the 'posing' was one of the strengths here, it 
seems to capture that slightly odd look of people caught unawares in a 
snapshot.

Ridiculous nitpick I suppose, or the eye of a NY cab-driver, but unless 
I see a double yellow line down the center of that street, I see those 
cars slamming into each other. It's not something you consciously notice 
  as much as you feel it.  Also to give it a little more NY real, you 
gotta have at least one J-walker ;)

I find that the foreground trash basket in sharp relief really adds to 
the realism, it's a real NY look, NY light, it rivels the scene for me. 
  Also I like the general look of the highrise glass buildings.  The 
true feel of the grunge on the street, gummarks etc., and the uniquely 
NY 'casual' approach to garbage still eludes.

Maybe also a little more light in the shaded areas would help.
