I was starting to go with the notion that the texturing wouldn't be
visible with that level of glare.
From a technical standpoint, turning on ambient made the trees look
funny (the bark had one--flat--texture, and the leaves had another--also
flat--texture). I think I need to add more lights instead, and tell
Povray not to make those lights interact with the media.
I'm still thinking about it; if I do bring textures back, they need to
be a lot more subtle than before, I think.
