The paths are a great fit with the rest of the scene.

It's refreshing to see so much preparation go into the presentation of a
theme like this. Usually, any depiction of anxiety is expected to get by
on the merits of its theme alone. The spurious disposition of the artist
is that anything so tawdry as imagination or effort would cheapen his
expression. The truth is that he doesn't feel he should be bothered -
there are enough who will gush anyway.
