It did for me, too, which is why I'm keeping it (and experimenting with
more/less focal blur and it's focal point).

Yup, noted, but have been in mind even before your post, nontheless the
constructive criticism is appreciated. Just about everything still needs
a little work and polishing, the figure is slightly disproportionate,
the clouds look slightly "bandy" and the path/dirt is really just
preliminary brown.

I'm thinking about creating more spectacular clouds, for a more stylized
effect, or somewhat more puffy and less like long snakes... Not sure
which, but I'm not 100% satisfied with their volume yet.

The figure needs some modelling work, but I always try to build the
image in steps, create some early placeholders to check the composition
and then refine. Like pop his arms back into the joints, that's
something a friend told me who has a better feeling for people (she
likes to draw manga-style and thus has more experience with normal vs
stylized proportions).

And the path... Stones, better texture, something like that. Either
aiming for that 50% realism / model-look, or something completely model
like, have to experiment.

We'll see how the next WIP turns out. ;-)

Regards,
Tim
